PETERBOROUGH MOTOR SPORTS CLUB 2021 SNOW CROSS COVID RESTRICTIONS

NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS     

  • In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
  • Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-course and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate.
  • If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home.
  • If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.
  • While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice physical distancing, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.
  • We also encourage all participants to wear a mask where physical distancing is difficult to maintain. Drivers meeting for example. Let’s be over protective of each other.

PRE-EVENT PREPARATION AND INFORMATION

Number of Participants to conform to COVID restrictions:

Number of participants will be limited.

Crew: A Crew consists of driver and service person

A registered and Waivered Service person is permitted in the Cross car on course.

No extra persons are permitted to a team.

Event Registration and Refunds

Registration is online only. On-site registration will not be available.

Payment is by E-Transfer sent to rallyx@pmsc.on.ca or pete.gulliver@nexicom.net

Refunds will be permitted to any participant for non-runners, and at any time, including after the event.   This will allow participants who develop symptoms or come into contact with someone who has symptoms to choose to stay home.

No Spectators at the event during COVID19 Restrictions

Spectators are not permitted

General safety and housekeeping items

Hand Sanitizer

All participants are asked to come to the event with their own bottle of hand sanitizer for their own use. Bottle should be at least 59 ml (2 fl oz).

Hand sanitizer will be provided to all marshal stations, and registration area.

Porta-Potties

Porta-potties are supplied by venue. We recommend you use Hand Sanitizer before and after using.

Water/Food

Participants should come prepared with their own supply.  Refreshments and water are not available at venue. There is a Sub Way ( Fry Truck is closed for Winter) located reasonably close to Free Flo MX Park.  Five-minute drive.

Pen

Participants should bring their own pen to limit sharing and contact from shared pens.

Helmets

Each participant must bring their own helmet. (Sharing among same house hold only)

Physical Distancing

Participants (Workers and Entrants) are asked to observe physical distancing rules at all times (2m/6ft). This includes in the service area, around the registration area and the mock grid.

Control Zone which starts 15 meters from start line is may only have current competing car and event officials. Windows rolled up fully on right hand side. Starter may ask you to lower to check Helmet and Harness.

Any participant caught breaking physical distancing rules will be asked to leave the event without a refund.

Car Sharing

Car sharing will be permitted

Waivered Service/Support person is permitted to ride with their Driver. No switching to other cars.

Sweep

Should you need the assistance of Sweep please allow the Sweep Crew to install tow strap. Marking location of tow point before event can greatly assist Sweep. Follow directions of sweep crew at all times

ENTRANCE, REGISTRATION, WAIVER FORMS, AND VEHICLE TECH FORMS

CARS have created a Waiver which can be E-Signed. It is available in the Documents section of our web site www.pmscrally.com.  You can E-Sign and submit via email to rallyx@pmsc.on.ca  prior to event or bring with you. There is also a traditional signed version you may print off and bring with you, signing at the event in front of an official witness.

There is also a Self-Declaration form under Documents please fill and bring with you.

Please bring your own pen for anything that is being signed at event.

Paddock and Service Area

Maintain physical distancing from each other. No visiting in the Service areas

Recce

Recce will be in two parts so that drivers of shared cars both have a chance to drive course under controlled speeds. Second Recce is for shared cars only. We suggest that driver who will be competing first drive second Recce which will reduce driver changes at Mock Grid. Waivered Service persons can ride during Recce. You also have the option of shared car drivers driving their service or other vehicle during Recce.

Start Box

If the start marshal or grid marshal needs to communicate with a driver, it must be done from the passenger side of the vehicle.

Drivers’ Meeting

Driver’s meeting will be in Service area with proper physical distancing. Face masks are required.

Loaner Helmets

As stated above, each participant must bring their own helmet, and so, no loaner helmets will be provided at the event.

Post Event Activities

Announcement of Class winners will be at end of day at registration area, same as Drivers meeting. physical distancing masks required.

Course Setup

Cones, Barrels etc: We plan on spraying handling points with a cleaner.

Tablets, Ham radios supplied by the club will cleaned and packaged in plastic bags before event. After usage place in box provided at Registration desk.

Red Boards

Red warning boards will be cleaned prior to the event. Only the Marshal assigned to a Control should use.
